Revitalizing Neighborhoods Through Real Estate

For Adenah Bayoh, real estate has never been just about buildings — it’s about people, purpose, and possibility. What began with a single three-family home in Irvington has grown into a movement to restore dignity and opportunity to communities once left behind. Today, Adenah owns and develops multi-family homes and apartment buildings across northern New Jersey, including Newark and Irvington. Each project tells a story of transformation — neglected spaces reborn into vibrant homes and thriving businesses, where families can live, grow, and dream again.

The Sheila – 916 Arctic Avenue, Atlantic City

Atlantic City’s next chapter begins with The Sheila, a heartfelt tribute to the late Lieutenant Governor Sheila Y. Oliver, whose unwavering commitment to equity and empowerment continues to inspire generations. Developed by Adenah Bayoh and Charles Oliver, The Sheila will bring 87 units of age-restricted affordable housing for residents 55 and older. Thoughtfully designed studio, one-, and two-bedroom homes will provide comfort, accessibility, and community for seniors seeking quality living in the heart of Atlantic City. More than a building, The Sheila is a living legacy — a reflection of Lt. Gov. Oliver’s belief that every person deserves the dignity of a safe, beautiful home and the chance to age in place with grace. It’s a space where neighbors will thrive, friendships will form, and hope will take root for years to come.

303 North South Carolina Avenue – Atlantic City, NJ

In partnership with the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, the City of Atlantic City, and CEO Enterprises, Adenah’s Foya Development Group is developing a new affordable homeownership community at 303 N. South Carolina Avenue. This project represents another milestone in Adenah’s mission to expand access to affordable housing and bring lasting investment to Atlantic City’s neighborhoods.

Southside View – Newark, NJ

Southside View is more than a development — it’s a promise kept. Located at 654–668 South 11th Street in Newark’s South Ward, this 40-unit affordable housing community welcomes families into beautiful, sustainable homes. With one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, job training, and financial literacy programs on-site, Southside View stands as a launchpad for opportunity and a vital piece of the revitalization of the Kent-Brenner-Springfield Redevelopment Area.

915 Broad Street – Newark, NJ

At the heart of downtown Newark, 915 Broad Street is redefining modern urban living. This mixed-use redevelopment blends contemporary design with community-focused amenities, offering 84 energy-efficient residences, concierge service, a fitness center, and laundry on every floor. The building also houses Newark’s second IHOP and Adenah’s signature soul food restaurant, Cornbread, both serving as neighborhood anchors of comfort, culture, and connection. Just steps from Penn Station, 915 Broad Street represents the spirit of Newark — vibrant, resilient, and always rising.

722 Chancellor Avenue – Irvington, NJ

In Irvington, Adenah brought new life to a long-vacant site at 722 Chancellor Avenue, transforming it into a mixed-use development with 40 residential units and 8,000 square feet of commercial space. This project reflects her belief that every neighborhood deserves investment, vitality, and beauty, no matter its zip code.

280 Park Place – Irvington, NJ

Once the site of the long-vacant Irvington General Hospital, 280 Park Place now stands as a symbol of renewal and resilience for the township. Under Adenah Bayoh’s leadership, the project transformed a blighted, seven-acre hospital site into a vibrant mixed-income residential community featuring 114 modern apartments with high-quality design, sustainable building systems, and thoughtful amenities including a resident lounge, courtyard, and on-site parking. More than a building, 280 Park Place reflects Adenah’s vision of turning neglected spaces into thriving neighborhoods.

Springview – Newark, NJ

Rising along Springfield Avenue, Springview is a five-story affordable housing development delivering 63 new homes for Newark families. Developed by Foya Development Group, this project continues Adenah’s mission to build stronger, more inclusive communities — where every resident has not only a roof, but a foundation for growth, stability, and belonging.

A Vision for Lasting Change

From Atlantic City to Newark, every development Adenah Bayoh touches is a testament to what’s possible when vision meets purpose. Her projects don’t just change skylines — they change lives, creating places where families can thrive, businesses can grow, and communities can heal. Brick by brick, home by home, Adenah is redefining what community-centered development looks like — building not just housing, but hope.
